The jury is over this case. They were supposed to be sequestered for 2 months, and now it’s over 8. A few of them get conjugal visits, but other than that, they are cut off from the outside world. No TV, no radio, they can’t talk to other hotels guests, swim, discuss the case even with each other, their newspapers have holes where related stories have been cut out, and they can’t drink. And on top of that, the security guarding them talks to them like they are prison. The jurors don't have names, but numbers.
At the office, the Dream Team are celebrating Darden's glove fiasco. . Across town at the DAs’ office, Darden is getting ripped a new one by Gil Garcetti who calls the glove disaster, “the most colossal disaster I’ve ever seen in courtroom practice.” Clark says they still have the DNA, which Gil yells no one cares about.
Darden tries to explain how he didn’t screw up and that the gloves actually fit, but see, the latex… Clark, wearing a fabulous red ensemble, kicks him out
Back in court. Clark is doing the DNA presentation and it's dry as hell until she gets to the part about only one in one hundred and seventy million people would have the blood found at the scene of the crime. Kardashian is the only one who looks shook by this revelation.
That night, Kardashian is at jail with OJ, who is bummed that his lawyers and material witnesses are missing poker night to spend time with their families. Kardashian says that maybe it’s because they’re having trouble with the DNA evidence. Kardashian asks OJ how Brown Simpson’s blood got in his Bronco. OJ says he has no idea.
The jury is held it in a room and informed that there’s another delay. They’re grumbling as another officer comes in to request a juror, Knox, who Judge Ito wants to see. Judge Ito asks Knox if he has ever been arrested for kidnapping. He says no, but then explains that he once locked the car doors and drove around the neighborhood with his ex in the car. “You know how ladies can get,” Knox explains. No, Knox, I don't. Ito says Knox is off the jury.
There are more dismissals coming. Cochran has a meltdown when he learns his favorite juror, a divorced black woman, is on the brink of being dismissed from the jury. The Sheriff department reviewed some records and found the juror once accused her ex husband of rape, twice. F. Lee Bailey pipes in that it wasn’t actually rape between a husband and wife in '88. Oh, Bailey. No. Just no. Ito says she’s out.
Cochran confronts Clark on her smoke break about screwing with the jury. Clark says she had nothing to do with it and tells Cochran to toughen up.
Now that there’s been a jury shake up, both sides are meddling around, legally, of course, with the jury. Another one is dismissed for having the same doctor as OJ. Another one goes for taking a picture with OJ.
Now there’s a juror, Tracy, who’s accusing the jury's security of being racist. When the jurors went shopping, they got an hour at Target, and 30 minutes at Ross. “They know the Blacks like Ross more…”, she declares. Cochran agrees it’s true. LOL. The juror says she’s tires of being treated likea criminal. Ito says they’re overdue for a deputy rotation and he’ll change them out. Maybe the will make things better.
The jurors are even more pissed when they learned they have all new deputies and they are losing their favorite one. At breakfast, a juror shows up to breakfast wearing all black.
Court is scheduled to begin, but, uh, there’s no jury. The jurors are refusing to enter the courtroom. Ito demands they show up or he will hold them in contempt. They show up nearly all of them dressed in all black as “Fight the Power” plays. Ito suspends testimony.
Cochran is losing it. This time, he's going nuts because he can’t read the jury anymore. OJ’s on the line, calling to curse everyone out. There’s talk of a mistrial and OJ says he can’t go through all this again. He also wants his team to put him on the stand to testify. Um… dude, you’re batsh—. You can’t go up there.
Cochran puts OJ on hold as the attorneys discuss whether to put OJ on the stand. They decide on a mock cross, a rehearsal. Cochran takes OJ off of hold.
OJ: I pray to the Lord, sweet baby Black Jesus you put me on hold one more time, Negro.
Me. Aha. Ahaha. Ahahahahaha.
At breakfast, Juror Tracy is sitting alone. The other jurors may or may not be talking about her. She kicks off her shoes and jacket and makes a run for the exit. She’s lost it.
At the courthouse, Bailey tells Cochran to stop screwing with Clark because if there’s a mistrial he won’t win. Cochran hears him. He visits Clark during her smoke break and makes a peace offering, a black coffee with two sugars.
Back in jail, there’s a fake Clark doing a mock examination with OJ. He’s bombing every question. They cannot, under any circumstances, put this man on the stand. It’s the nail in the coffin for Kardashian. He thinks OJ did it, but he can’t leave the case at this point because it would make a mess. Kardashian says even if OJ is found not guilty, he is out of his life-- and his family's life-- forever.
On the OJ tip line, someone calls in with some tea about at tape of Detective Mark Fuhrman using the n-word.”
